Boruto Anime Series Gets New Teaser Visual

Thought the Naruto universe might be winding down when the original manga ended back in 2014? Fat chance.

Instead, 2015's Boruto: Naruto the Movie introduced us to Naruto’s son, who would go on to take the reins of the franchise in the manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Now Boruto is getting his own anime series, and, as the April 5 premiere date bolts closer, today saw the release of a new teaser visual.

As we reported back in January, the anime will kick off with an original story not yet seen in the manga.

Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto wants to make the Boruto series “even better than Naruto,” though that may be a hard sell for many fans of Bortuo’s pops.
